INCOMPREHENSIBLE POETRY

When I was younger, I wanted to write poetry for a living. So I wrote lots and lots of poems. Here are a few from various collections.

"Intergalactic pirate tree planet haiku"

Pirates on the tree

Planet make ships that float on

Forest canopies.

"Intergalactic pirate tree planet haiku" is from the collection, POST MORTEM ACNE

"Same old astronomy and melody"

Nutrition leaks mock solids onto scrolls

That are only ever used as ridiculous telescopes.

At most, we drill unavoidable carrots for flutes.

"Same old astronomy and melody" is from the collection, TWISN'T

"Ankle"

Akkadians laugh at the cuneiform bones

While rolling games and heavy structures.

Equipped with tiny ships,

They trample for hardworking wedges.

Now that's incomprehensible. "Ankle" is from the collection, POEMS 2

"Twins"

Insincist that a friend come by for supper.

Obligerate your schedule at least once a month.

Wantificate reasons not to.

The above are listed procedentarily.

Wow. "Twins" is also from, TWISN'T

"Screwdriver"

It sounds a puzzle to describe things instead

Of naming them.

Titling easily by-passes guesses

And the greatest adresses.

Words are still clearer than the best report.

Even timeless interviews give less

Than words that fancy every possibility.

"Screwdriver" is from POEMS 2

"Watching flowers"

Sniff only in case of emergency.

Otherwise, simply watch them as you would any living decoration.

Don't be misled by those

With often crises

At first sight.

"Watching flowers" is also from POEMS 2

"Treatise jewlery"

Her meow tells me

There's something to be found in the triangle.

I rush home to make a necklace of it.

Jewlery helps me think.

In fact, here's a bracelet on probability

And some earrings on optics.

These ear horns, on the other hand,

Are made for what my pets say.

Thanks kitty.

"Treatise jewlery" is from POEMS 2

"Air divisible"

Blow a triangle of fog onto the glass.

Feel an oval of breath on your neck.

Realize that you and the girl are sat upon

By a mile wide cube of wind.

"Air divisible" is from POEMS 2

"Untitled"

ONE

Dairy in sagging eggplants is hardly dehydrated by helpless floor care.

In order to build our monk kiln, we'll have to trim nothing's nethers.

Mouths give medicine for bucal beaches resenting inconsistent geography. Only exhaust knows.

Also, cut chlorine for dispatched or earned shuttling of feathers on obvious knitting.

The sun's interrupted at twleve. Plants, please think to constipate jokes.

At least kindling pairs single tunnels.

Overweight kin heartily spring on many bubbles.

TWO

Vegetable and plentiful teats feed mops and soaps.

A making oven for devotees requires clippings from not's at bottom.

Rugged shores are righted with prescriptions from hole other than harbor.

Priviledged exports realize.

Accordingly, dying arms won't make them unnoticeable thread.

Evening's at noon. Potted growths don't snicker.

Twigs are uncle to shocks quicker and hotter than glowing.

Hungry brother, food will be provided upon positive ends to surprisingly spherical things.

FOUR

Acres and crops call for cleaning.

Unkotted sticks give trustworthy deserts.

Smooth and straightened sand is so from broiling.

A bottom shelf ejects the wand.

However, coloring limbs works for sleuth.

Half days rest most. Star's devotees drag for this.

Cedar dries for north's nursing hours.

Unavailable roughage is so 'cause of a newly prominent satellite.

FIVE

Dirty with light they are.

Limbs theoretically straight and textureless. Loaning confidence to zero's shameful rights.

Sandy ocean seed inseminates solid heat for glass progeny.

Oceans run errands for patient moon.

Increased night tides somehow nibble more quickly at continents.

Trees, punished, see in the moon only the temptation of day.

Now THAT'S incomprehensible. Whoa. "Untitled" is from the collection UNTITLED 900. Compare "Screwdriver" as well as the TYPOGRAPHICAL PO-ARTRY piece that begins with 'Oceans. The oceans are trying to kill us...'

"Percipi"

The world is given

And taken,

Hidden in the palm of a secret handshake.

The manner of the greeting,

Of course, will be of interest,

One being,

Polite, another dishonest,

And yet another unconcerned with that exchanged,

One satisfied with the contact alone, feeling

Instead for each scale

And each gripping

Finger, guessing

A hand

And inferring

An arm

And an animal there connected.

"Percipi" is from TWISN'T

"The feather"

If you will, help that feather there on the ground.

It asks nicely and honestly to be replaced on a bird.

But turtles are easier to catch.

So find one, and plant the quill in a crack in the the shell's top.

And make sure it's a windy-land reptile,

For although the feather hasn't eyes for the trick,

It can still feel a breeze.

That's what it wants most from the bird anyway.

"The feather" is also from TWISN'T

"Potion"

Two tablespoons of cloth,

Two of feathers,

And three quarts of wood

Emerge as a couch from a boil.

From a half batch expect a chair,

And from a fourth,

A wooden box occupied by a stuffed bird on a perch.

From an eighth batch on,

As far as we can tell,

Expect a sizeable digression of the fourth.

"Potion" is from the collection NAIL-BITING COMEDY
